Internet Connectivity

Internet connectivity is the backbone of a modern business. Without a fast and reliable internet service, operations can grind to a halt.

All communication, business software, and even industrial operations rely on fast, stable internet for efficiency and productivity.

That means the connection from your buildings to the world wide web needs to be at the core of your IT strategy.

So, what’s available?

Ethernet Leased Line

This is the Gold Standard of connectivity, a dedicated circuit between your business and the internet.  It’s not shared with anybody else down your street or business park, it’s all yours.

An Ethernet leased line connection is a dedicated full fibre solution from the exchange right up to your network cabinet.  It’s an extension of your LAN right into the core of one our many service providers, benefiting from symmetric speeds of up to 10Gbps that allow you to send and receive data at the same time and at the same rate.  That might not sound like something to shout about, but in this world of cloud computing, being able to transmit data at speed is just as important as receiving it.

Leased line ethernet connections offer faster fault response and fix times. If your business depends on uninterrupted internet connectivity,  a dedicated leased line is the best choice.

Litenet are able to provide ethernet leased line services from all of the major service providers and some alternative network providers (Alt-nets).

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)

Fibre to the premises does exactly what it says on the tin.  A direct fibre connection right up to your router, but at a price point that won’t break the budget!  Just like a leased line, FTTP can deliver lightning fast internet for any busy office, with speeds up to 1Gbps  download and 330Mbps upload it can handle most office environments.

FTTP  is  rapidly expanding across the UK with Openreach and many alternative network providers  (Alt-nets) accelerating their rollout.  Litenet have access to lots of potential suppliers, so give us a shout and see what’s available where you are!

Single order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA)

It’s a bit of a mouthful.  Formerly known as Fibre to the Cabinet, or FTTC.  A SoGEA circuit is the most cost effective and readily available form of internet connectivity.  Offering speeds up to 80Mbps download and 20Mbps upload, a SoGEA circuit offers a reliable internet connection for most branch offices, village halls, churches and as a backup to a leased line or FTTP primary connection.

In areas where other, faster, services aren’t available, it’s possible to bundle several SoGEA circuits together to get extra capacity.  The speeds won’t be faster, but you will be able to have more users online.

As with FTTP, Litenet can provide connectivity options from many different service providers, so get in touch to find out what we have available.

Mobile and Satellite

Need instant connectivity? Mobile or satellite internet is the ideal backup or temporary solution when fixed line services are not available.  They are particularly effective if you need to bring a site live quickly, if you need a temporary solution while you wait for a fixed line to be installed, or if you have a building site that can’t have a fixed line at all.

Mobile and satellite connectivity is also particularly effective as a backup to a primary circuit, offering a resilient service that’s not reliant on sharing ducts, cables, poles or roadside cabinets.

Litenet have a vast range of mobile data SIMs, extensive hardware options and installation services to suit any environment.  Find out more here (link to 4G/5G data solutions page)

Litenet can offer installation and configuration services for satellite options such as Starlink and OneWeb anywhere in the UK, from construction sites to building rooftops.
